ResDiary

ResDiary (Restaurant Diary) is a quickly growing competitor – world wide, no less – to Open Table. With a pressing American date earlier in 2014, we highlighted some areas for improvement in the brand offering. We already knew the software was good (most of our foodie customers use it) and we developed a responsive booking tool which hooked in to their systems through their API that, in turn we could deliver to our restaurant clients. However, we felt that we could offer some refinements and provide guidance on how they use colour, shape and position to inform their users and potential users. ResDiary’s classic ‘butler’ icon logo lacked definition and scalability so we worked with them, re-illustrating the design and creating a styling toolkit for their own in-house team to then continue utilising both internally and externally as ResDiary.
